Agency staff is available to explain the SMP -Senior Medicare Patrol program with groups and individuals on empowering seniors to prevent healthcare fraud, waste, and abuse. The way to do this is through speaking presentations on timely issues and showing how to check the Medicare Summary Notices and keep track of when a visit was made to the Dr.’s office and what was done. Giving your Medicare number to providers for the billing of their services and not to scam artists. The SMP program is always looking for volunteers that provide assistance to other seniors.
